Eli’s legal background influences his writing. Attorney Moody Jones, Eli’s fictional alter ego, is a champion for those who must endure the follies and foibles of the American justice system. Jones was the protagonist in the award-winning short story Leo’s Dilemma; he appears in The Conversation and Frantic Fire as well. Eli has also written essays on a range of topics.
